Western Association of Women Historians

2007 Conference Album

The online 2007 WAWH Conference Album is a Flash "slideshow" with 128 photos shown in a little under 3 minutes. Given the subject, the photos are in more or less chronological order.

The album accommodates both high speed (DSL, Cable) and modem connections. If you have a modem connection you will be able to browse the photographs in the gallery, but you may not be able to view the Flash slide show.

directions ;-)

Individual images can be examined at your own pace by selecting the square Browse Gallery View icon on the lower right of the slideshow. The Gallery automatically follows the end of the slideshow. Click on the thumbnails to see larger images. Other icons at the bottom adjust the sound, pause, and restart (play) the show. Click on the email icon to share this photo album.

about Flash

The photo album requires Flash Player 9 to run. Adobe claims that 98% of computers have their free Flash Player installed. If you have the Flash Player 9 on your computer, the slide show should start to play after a few moments. If not, you should be prompted to download the player. If you're not prompted and you need to get Flash Player 9 because you're looking at a blank/black screen, you can go directly to Adobe's site, download the program, and install it yourself. It's quite safe.

The Western Association of Women Historians was founded in 1969 to promote the interests of women historians both in academic settings and in the field of history generally.

Drawing scholars from the Western states, the WAWH is the largest of the regional women's historical associations in the U.S.

The WAWH encourages the participation of academic historians and independent scholars, and welcomes literary scholars and art, theater, and film specialists.
