California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of U.S. Women’s History who also teaches and researches in the areas of Latino/a and/or African American history and who can contribute to the department’s public and oral history program.
The successful candidate is expected to teach courses in women’s history, the U.S. history survey in candidate’s period of expertise, courses that contribute to the department’s gender/multicultural graduation requirement, and to contribute to the public and oral history program. The candidate will maintain a robust, ongoing research agenda and mentor students at the undergraduate/graduate level. The candidate will also have the ability to provide leadership and service that will advance scholarly excellence and provide service to the university and the community. The successful candidate will show potential for producing a strong record of research and publication and provide evidence of effective teaching. The department values community engagement and student success.
