Novelties

Do you have an innovative, out-of-the-box idea for a session that...

does not fit one of the other categories? Pitch it!

Timing

Sessions are 90 minutes in length.

  • Novelty sessions should involve at least two participants.
  • If your session involves more than 3 people, please note this in the "anything else the committee should know" box provided on the form to inform the committee of additional information.
  • If selected, the committee will be in touch for the other panelists' details.

When submitting the proposal, the designated contact person should outline the proposed format and explain why it does not match well with other presentation submission options. Novelty sessions must accommodate meaningful discussion or engagement in some way. Overall, sessions should engage the audience directly.

Prior to submitting, please ensure that your novelty session meets the above minimum requirements and has a designated contact person.

To submit, you will need to enter the following into the submission form:

  • the designated contact person's name and email address
  • session title
  • session abstract
  • A/V requirements (Presenters must provide their own laptops.)
  • For each participant: name, email address, current occupation, title or position, institutional or business affiliation, 150-word bio, participant's contribution to session (150 words).

Submission Deadline Extended: October 7, 2024

Questions about the submission process should be directed to the 2025 Program Committee at ConferenceProgram@wawh.org.
