Book Launch & Reading

The WAWH conference opens on Thursday night by...

celebrating our authors with a book launch reception on Thursday evening, April 24. If your book was/will be published between Jaunary 1, 2024 and March 1, 2025 consider submitting a book launch application. We recognize that publishing dates can sometimes shift so please be sure to check with your editor/publisher for clarity; the physical book must be available by the conference date.

Authors should be prepared to give a brief introduction, read a passage from their book, and engage with the audience in a Q&A session.

Space is limited. Application does not guarantee participation. The conference committee will notify selected authors in mid-late December.

To submit, you will need to enter the following into the submission form:

  • your name
  • email address
  • publication year
  • current occupation
  • title or position
  • institutional or business affiliation
  • 150-word bio
  • book title
  • publisher
  • name, email, and phone number of your editor or the relevant person who we should contact about promoting your book to conference attendees
  • describe previous presentations at WAWH conferences, attendance at WAWH conferences, or other involvement in the WAWH community
  • Acknowledge that if selected, you understand that you will need to be a current WAWH member and will register for and attend the conference. The book launch is an in-person event on the first night of the conference.

Submission Deadline: September 30, 2024

Questions about the submission process should be directed to the 2025 Program Committee at ConferenceProgram@wawh.org.
